Continuing Education Requirements for New Jersey License Renewal

• Each nurse licensee must complete a minimum of 30 contact hours of continuing education during the two-year renewal period- the expiration for the current New Jersey Nursing License Renewal is May 31, 2025.
• All continuing education courses related to nursing must be approved by a credentialing agency accredited by the ANCC.
• All RN’s and LPN’s must complete 1 contact hour of continuing education concerning prescription opioid drugs.
