Accreditation Statement

Nursing CE Central LLC is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

In this course, we will discuss APRN specific topics in the state of Rhode Island. It will take the average learner 600 minutes to complete and awards 10 contact hours of continuing education, including 7 pharmacology contact hours.

Course Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner will rate a 4 out of 5 on the Likert Scale for their ability to:

1. List and explain the most common abused substances.
   
2. Understand the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia. 
3. Describe commonly prescribed opioids for pain management and understand their side effects and indications of use.
4. Identify FDA-approved and off-label indications for non-opioid medications and other various therapies for chronic pain management.
