This course is designed for healthcare workers who want a better understanding of a significant complication that a patient with a spinal cord injury may face, which is autonomic dysreflexia. Autonomic dysreflexia is a potentially life-threatening complication associated with spinal cord injuries that requires prompt identification as well as skilled medical management. Autonomic dysreflexia can have a rapid onset and be potentially life-threatening. This course will cover the diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and management of autonomic dysreflexia in spinal cord injury patients using the most relevant evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
