Course Overview

Upon completing this course, nurses will be able to identify the characteristics of bipolar disorder and the framework for diagnosis. Learners will also gain insight into the pharmacological treatment used in bipolar management and potential side effects. They will gain a comprehensive understanding of patient safety, crisis management, patient monitoring, and the challenges of bipolar management. 

It aims to provide knowledge to enhance patient safety, identify best practices, and provide a thorough overview of bipolar treatment and management in nursing practice. This course will benefit any nurse who interacts with patients living with bipolar disorder, including nurses practicing in the emergency department, ICU, or behavioral health unit.

  3. Provide patient education and ensure patient safety
