Course Overview

This course is an overview of methods used for family planning and contraception. Learners will explore the method of action of medications, common symptoms associated with medication use, medical implications on quality of life, and family planning and contraceptive management and research. This course will also discuss non-hormonal methods of family planning as well. This course is intended for nurses of all education levels, disciplines, and specialties.

Course Outcomes

  3. Discuss the clinical criteria for prescribing contraception.
