Fibromyalgia Diagnosis and Symptom Management

Contact Hours: 3

Author(s):

Pamela Halvorson MBA, BS, RN

Course Overview

This course provides an in-depth overview of the complexities of fibromyalgia and how it has been misunderstood and misdiagnosed, making treatment difficult for clients. In the nursing field, where we deal with a variety of clients and diagnoses, fibromyalgia can mimic other illnesses, so an understanding of what a client deals with both physically and mentally can make the nurse-patient relationship that much stronger.
