Course Overview

Cardiovascular deaths are the leading cause of death in the United States and globally. While there is a multitude of risk factors based on population and particular groups, it is discriminatory as the leading cause of death of both birth sexes and across many racial and ethnic groups. This course is aimed to provide APRNs, RNs, and LPNs with a broad understanding of the prevalence, mortality rates, risk factors, and unique factors related to cardiovascular deaths.

Course Outcomes

  3. Summarize the clinical signs, symptoms, and treatment options available. 
  4. List interventions aimed at preventing CVD to reduce mortality rates associated with CVD.
