Course Overview

This course is designed to assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in revisiting and reviewing the 1996 HIPAA law and any changes or updates to that law. The learner will also gain a more in-depth understanding of the law and their roles and responsibilities. It will also cover patients’ rights under HIPAA and the penalties for breaching the law.
