Course Overview

This course is an overview of medications used to manage and treat hypertension (HTN) in pregnancy. Learners will explore the purpose of anti-hypertensive medications, common symptoms associated with anti-hypertensive medication use, medical implications on quality of life, and anti-hypertensive medication and research. This course will also discuss the method of action associated with these medications and the nurses’ role in anti-hypertensive medication, education, and management.
