Course Overview

From the provider’s office and specialty clinic to the urgent care and long-term care facility, the outpatient care setting allows for brief encounters with a greater number of patients throughout the day. While the quality of care across healthcare settings should remain the same, staffing inadequacies, limited regulatory monitoring, and differences in disease incidences may negatively impact the quality of care provided in outpatient settings. Designed for outpatient care nurses at all levels, this course will highlight common problem areas affecting the quality of care in this setting and offer an unconventional perspective on addressing each one.
