Course Overview

This course focuses on the vital importance of sleep in the recovery and well-being of clients in the ICU. It explores the many factors that can impact client sleep, including the environmental, physiological, and psychological elements. Nurses learn to assess sleep quality, recognize its impact on sleep, and implement both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. Overcoming institutional and cultural barriers should also be addressed in the facility.
