Course Overview

Malignant hyperthermia is a rare condition that can significantly impact patients and their families. Because of this, healthcare providers must be vigilant and prepared for the rapid onset of MH. Providers must completely understand causes, symptoms, and treatment options while being familiar with their facility’s available resources. This can significantly improve patient outcomes during an MH crisis. Early detection, prompt treatment with dantrolene, and a coordinated response from trained healthcare providers are critical to reducing the risk of complications or death.
