Course Outcomes
After completing this course, the learner will rate a 4 out of 5 on the Likert Scale for their ability to:
- Understand the legal protections against discrimination for patients who are HIV-positive in Nevada and the United States.
- Identify ways that people of minority groups experience healthcare differently than other patients.
- Understand how syndromic surveillance is used in identifying potential acts of bioterrorism, the reporting procedures and the use of the Health Alert Network.
