Course Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner will rate a 4 out of 5 on the Likert Scale for their ability to:

  1. Determine if a child shows indicators of maltreatment or abuse, including in a virtual setting, and explain the main points of the legislation that pertains to the rights of mandated reporters
  2. Understand strategies for preventing transmission of pathogenic organisms; and describe how infection control concepts are applied in professional health practice.
  3. Apply state and federal laws on prescribing New York (NY) controlled substances.
