Course Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner will rate a 4 out of 5 on the Likert Scale for their ability to:

  1. List and explain the most common abused substances.
  2. Understand the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  3. Describe commonly prescribed opioids for pain management and understand their side effects and indications of use.
  4. Identify FDA-approved and off-label indications for non-opioid medications and other various therapies for chronic pain management.
