A Ruptured appendix is an emergent medical condition often caused by acute appendicitis, which is linked to increased morbidity and mortality. Therefore, it may require surgical intervention. This course will help identify which patient populations are at risk for developing ruptured appendicitis, how it’s diagnosed and treated, and why obtaining a detailed health history can assist in diagnosing appendicitis.
