Fetal demise has profound traumatic effects on parents/guardians and families. Healthcare providers play a pivotal role in supporting birthing clients and families who suffer a pregnancy loss. In this course, learners will understand the definition of fetal demise, recognize trends and consequences of fetal demise, and identify appropriate care measures to support a client after a fetal demise.
