Course Overview

This course provides an overview of syphilis management. It will provide an overview of syphilis, syphilis management basics, complications associated with syphilis, considerations for specific patient populations, precautions for working with patients with confirmed or suspected syphilis, and patient education on syphilis prevention and management. Learners will explore the purpose of syphilis management for success in patient care. This course is for LPNs, RNs, and APRNs.

Course Outcomes

  3. List treatment options for syphilis 
  4. Explain pain management techniques for specific patient populations with severe syphilis complications. 
  5. Discuss recommendations for screening, testing, and early intervention for syphilis cases.
