  2. Understand sexual assault as a public health problem and its impact on the state of Texas.
  3. Define, exemplify, and recognize various types of human trafficking, its victims, and its offenders.
  4. Summarize the nurse’s legal obligation as a “mandatory reporter” of suspected abuse.
  5. Discuss tick-borne illnesses prevalent in Texas, including but not limited to Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and ehrlichiosis.
  6. Identify FDA-approved and off-label indications for non-opioid medications and other various therapies for chronic pain management.
  7. Describe common side effects, including severe possible side effects, of SSRIs
  8. Describe commonly prescribed opioids for pain management and understand their side effects and indications of use.
