Course Overview

The Watchman is a device implanted in the heart to protect clients from developing and releasing blood clots. Intended for LPN/LVNs, RNs, and APRNs, this course will provide an overview of the Watchman device, identify the types of clients who may qualify for the device, describe the procedure for implantation, and summarize the nurse’s role in client education, and pre- and post-operative care.
