Violence against healthcare workers has unfortunately been on the rise for quite some time. Approximately 1 in 4 nurses have been assaulted in acute care settings. It is a significant issue, with both health and legal implications. What measures are currently in place to prevent aggression towards nurses? Why do we see it as a normal part of our job? Workplace violence is completely unacceptable, and we must all learn ways to keep ourselves and others safe in our workplaces.
