Requirements

APRNs must meet Georgia’s Continuing Education Competency requirements for Registered Nurses in order to renew and maintain their license. While there are several different options of meeting this requirement, most registered nurses choose to complete 30 contact hours.  APRNs must also maintain certification in their area of specialty.

APRNs under a Nurse Protocol Agreement must complete pharmacology-related continuing education annually as required by their delegating physician.
