Your certificate is instantly available on the My Certificates page and is also automatically emailed to you.

Not quite! You will need to renew your license with your board of nursing. Obtaining Continuing Education is a requirement that must be complete prior to renewal in most states.

Nurses must submit certificate information upon renewal per your state BON’s policy.

You can update your name by going to the Take Courses page and clicking Update Account Details under your name.

You can update your license information by going to the Take Courses page and clicking Edit under Your Licenses

After updating your information, please return to the My Certificates page to view your corrected certificate.

No. The number of contact hours is calculated based upon an average learner. It may require more or less time from you. We do not track the amount of time you spend in a course or on the website.

No, there are no tests. You simply read the material and certify that you have read and learned the material. Once this is complete your certificate is available immediately.

The only exceptions to this are for Florida and Ohio state-required courses.

Completing courses with Nursing CE Central is a seamless process. Simply read and learn the material, then click “complete” to testify you have read and learned the material.
Your certificate is automatically available under “my certificates” and is also automatically emailed to you.

No worries! We keep your certificates on file for 5 years.

We always recommend that you download and save your certificates, but we can retrieve them for you at any time.

Your certificates are also emailed to you automatically upon course completion.

The expiration on the certificate is not the certificate expiration date.
The certificate is valid for the entire renewal period in which it is completed.

The expiration date that you see is for our ANCC accreditation, meaning that as long as the completed date is before the ANCC expiration, the certificate is valid and accredited by the ANCC.

We will renew our ANCC accreditation prior to the expiration date, and you do not need to do anything.
