RNs are required to complete 20 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.

  • 1 of the 20 contact hours must be on sexual harassment.
  • 1 of the 20 contact hours must be an evidence-based implicit bias in healthcare training.
  • 1 of the 20 contact hours must be in diagnosis, treatment and care of Alzheimer’s disease, along with other dementia types (for RNs that care for patients aged 26 or older).
