The New Jersey Board of Nursing requires requires that LPNs and RNs complete 30 hours of continuing education for license renewal. One of the 30 contact hours must be on prescription opioid drugs.
APRNs are also required to complete 30 contact hours of continuing education. One of the 30 contact hours must be on prescription opioid drugs. Two of the 30 contact hours must be on end-of-life care.
