Nursing CE Central Pennsylvania Child Abuse Course Reporting Guide

Nursing CE Central is an accredited provider of the Pennsylvania Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Course.

While Nursing CE Central does not report all courses for Pennsylvania renewal, we ensure automatic reporting of the PA Child Abuse Course to the Pennsylvania Department of Health upon completion. The Department of Health then reports this course to the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing.

If you have any questions about your renewal requirements or what’s included with purchase, please visit our support page.

The below guide outlines all the information needed surrounding initially submitting and re-submitting your PA Child Abuse course completion to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

When does Nursing CE Central report my course?

Upon completion of the PA Child Abuse quiz and reporting form, Nursing CE Central reports your PA Child Abuse course within the same day you take the course!

Once reported this may take up to 7-10 business days to appear on your PA BON PALS account. This is due to the fact that the PA BON needs 7-10 business days to process and review submissions.

Any incorrect information will result in your completion not being reported to the Pennsylvania Department of State!

If it has been over 10 business days since you completed the Child Abuse CE and the Child Abuse CE is still showing as “Not Received” in PALS it could potentially be due to an error in reporting information.

How does Nursing CE Central report my course?

Our customer support team is not able to manually resubmit your PA courses on your behalf due to the sensitive nature of some information that is required (such as SSN and DOB).

Instead, Nursing CE Central presents nurses who take the PA Child abuse course with a submission form to give Nursing CE Central all the personal details to submit that course after completing the PA Child Abuse quiz.

Filling out this form gives Nursing CE Central all the information needed to then send your certificate to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. (see image below for an example of the submission form)

What information do I need for reporting the PA child abuse course?

When inputting your submission / resubmission details for reporting, your information must appear exactly as it is registered with the Pennsylvania BON.

Please also ensure you are inputting the correct information for your:

What if I am not seeing my course reported?

If it has been over 10 business days since you completed the Child Abuse CE and the Child Abuse CE is still showing as “Not Received” in PALS it could potentially be due to an error in reporting information.
